Australia: Ahmadiyya Muslim Students Association Organizes Qur’an Exhibition at Flinders University

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Student Association, AMSA, held its first Qur’an Exhibition at the Flinders University to educate the youth about the true teachings of the Holy Qur’an on October 16, 2015.

The event attracted interest from every aspect of the University with more than 200 guests attending, including the Vice Chancellor, Miss Nancy Cromer.

Miss Cromer inaugurated the event at 10am with the following words:

“First of all I would like to acknowledge the Ahmadiyya Muslim Student Association for holding this exhibition. It offers an opportunity to understanding and engagement in the very diverse groups on our campus community.  Universities like Flinders where students and staff from all parts of the world have a very important role to play in fostering this understanding and engagement.  Universities are a place where we can explore together ways to build better understanding and respect for each other and this exhibition provides such an opportunity.”

The exhibition displayed the Holy Qur’an in 35 different languages and handmade calligraphy.

A variety of books were also available with a separate multimedia stall to provide access to the Holy Qur’an database.

An information session was also held to provide an introduction of the Holy Qur’an focusing on the perspective of social, national and international peace.  By the grace of Allah, the exhibition was a huge success.

Some of the guests gave comments where they expressed their feelings regarding the event:

"This is an excellent exhibition.  Given the way the world is at the moment I think that what we need more of because learning is important, cultural exchange is important, religious tolerance is important.  This exhibition today speaks for all those things to me.”
