Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community spreads the true message of Islam

The October 15 front page of the Washington Post revealed, yet again, the atrocities which continue to be committed by ISIS. The extremist group is said to be worse than even Taliban. Osama bin Laden might be dead but Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi emerged as the new charismatic leader who has even gone as far as to claim to be a Khalifa (caliph). But this profession is nothing short of a fantasy. But unbeknownst to most people there does exist a Khalifa who is a true Islamic leader. He is, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Worldwide Spiritual Leader of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community

While ISIS persists on brutalizing non-Muslims as well as Muslims in Iraq and Syria, His Holiness relentlessly spreads the message of true Islam and asserts that the religion practiced by more than 1.6 billion people of the world is not one of violence but of peace. Hazrat Ahmad, who resides in London, UK, has been traveling in Holland and Germany. On October 6, he delivered an historic address to the members of the Dutch Parliament. The primary purpose of his visit to Holland was to lay the foundation of the first mosque in the Dutch city of Almere. His Holiness named the mosque, Baitul Aafiyat which means The House of Peace and Security. This mosque will be the second one in Holland. The ceremony was attended by more than 55 guests, which included the Deputy Lord Mayor of Almere, Mr. Frits Huis. The keynote address at the event was delivered by His Holiness. With regards to the increasing fear of Islam in the West, His Holiness remarked,

“Regrettably, the state of today’s world is such that many people in the West fear that there is an inherent risk of danger and conflict when Muslims come together or when they build mosques or centers. In fact, some people think that merely the presence of Muslims in this part of the world will prove to be a means of destroying the peace and security of their society.”

His Holiness, Mirza Masroor Ahmad, is currently visiting Germany. On October 14, His Holiness laid the foundation stone of the first mosque in the German city of Nordhorn. His Holiness named the mosque, Sadiq Mosque which means the Mosque of the Truthful. The foundation laying ceremony was attended by about 100 guests, which included various dignitaries, such as Mayor of Nordhorn, Thomas Berling and Deputy District Commissioner, Helena Hoon.

With regards to the Syrian refugee crisis Mayor Berling appreciated the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s offer of help.

“I am very grateful to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for offering to assist us in our efforts to absorb the sudden influx of refugees. You are providing invaluable services, in particular in terms of translation. Every act of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is based upon its motto of ‘Love for All, Hatred for None’,” Mayor Berling remarked.

On October 16, 2015, His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Ahmad delivered the Friday Sermon from the Baitul Aafiyat complex in Frankfurt, Germany. The Friday Prayer Service was attended by more than 4,900 people. The Friday Sermon was also broadcast live worldwide through Muslim Television Ahmadiyya (MTA) satellite channel. During his sermon, His Holiness referred to a question put forward to him by a Dutch journalist during his trip to Holland. The reporter had asked whether the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the fastest growing community in the world. His Holiness responded by saying that indeed it is. Such a question has been raised by many others as well. His Holiness emphasized that the truthfulness of the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Promised Messiah, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, lies in the fact that the solitary voice of a man in a small town of India is now resounding in every city and every town of the world.

His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, met with several reporters and media outlets during his trip to Holland and Germany. When asked about his views on the extremist group ISIS/Daesh, His Holiness replied,

“Such groups like Daesh are interpreting the Holy Quran in completely the wrong way. Jihad actually means to struggle for something good but the terrorists are making their own violent interpretations just to feed their own vested interests.”

With regards to combating terrorism, Hazrat Ahmad said that it was essential to cut the arms supply lines of terrorist groups and to end their sources of finding and means of black market trading. He also called on the Muslim governments to take “firm measures” to combat the influence of the extremist clerics in their countries.

Highlighting the ongoing efforts made by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in spreading the peaceful message of Islam, His Holiness said,

“We will never give up and we will never become frustrated. Rather, we shall continue with our missionary work and we believe that one day change will come. If not this generation, then in coming generations people will come to realize the truth of Islam.”
